Vice President Product
Management, nuBridges
When asked to write a brief bio to
accompany my blogs, I couldn’t help but reflect back on
milestones in my 18+-year IT journey. B. S. in
computer and information sciences from the University of
Florida (go Gators!!). First computer purchase in 1981 – you
guessed it, the Osborne 1!
A decade working at Geac Computer
Systems, Inc. (formerly Dun & Bradstreet Software and even
earlier, it was known as MSA). Several stints at start-ups
during the dotcom boom (some would now say bust) – ever
heard of ZapMedia? How about Idapta? And the last seven
years, I’ve been in product management at nuBridges. My
journey has taken me from PCs to mainframes and everything
in between. I’ve travelled during varying periods of time in
customer support, development, product marketing and product
management.
But I’m not all left-brained. I do have
a creative side and I love to collaborate with real people,
not just computers. One of my passions is to relate (in
speeches, presentations and just casual conversations)
highly technical concepts in non-technical and interesting
ways. I love to solve technical issues/challenges with
practical solutions. I guess you could say that’s really
what we’re all about at nuBridges.
Well, I just can’t leave out what has
been a constant in this wonderful journey. My family comes
first – a wonderful wife and two great kids, a passion for
family tree research including publishing multiple books and
community service with
Camp
Sunshine, volunteering to spend a week of each summer as
a counselor for children with cancer.
