C. Tycho Howle
Tycho
founded nuBridges in 2001 and currently serves as its
Chairman and CEO.
A pioneer in the e-business arena, Tycho founded Harbinger
Computer Services in 1983 and grew the business to become
one of the world's leading E-Commerce firms with more than
1,000 employees, 40,000 customers, and annual revenues
exceeding $155 million. Tycho served as both Chairman and
CEO for most of his 17-year tenure with Harbinger, and led
the company through its many phases of growth including an
IPO in 1995. He was instrumental in the creation of Harbinger EDI
Services and Harbinger Net Services, a joint venture with
Bellsouth.
Prior to founding Harbinger, Tycho worked with McKinsey and
Company, Hewlett Packard and Booz, Allen and Hamilton.
Tycho has received numerous awards for his contribution to
e-business including being named one of the "25 Unsung
Heroes on the Internet" by Inter@active Week in 1998,
selection as the 1997 Entrepreneur of the Year in Emerging
Technologies for the Southeastern US, selection as Georgia's
Businessman of the Year by the Georgia Security Dealer's
Association in 1999, and induction into the Georgia
Technology Hall of Fame in 2002. In 2007, Tycho was inducted
into the Thomas Green Clemson Academy of Distinguished
Engineers and Scientists. He has also served as a Director
for a number of public and private companies.
Tycho is a very active participant in community activities
serving or having served on several non-profit boards
including the Atlanta Symphony, Children's Healthcare of
Atlanta Foundation, the Atlanta Alzheimer's Association, the
Harvard Business School Alumni Association, the Clemson
University Foundation (where he serves as the Chairman of
the Finance Committee), the Clemson University Research
Foundation, and the Atlanta Rotary. Tycho also is a member
of the Carter Center Board of Councilors, a leadership
advisory group that promotes understanding of and support
for the Carter Center in advancing peace and health around
the world.
In the mid-'90s, Tycho and his family formed the C. Tycho
and Marie Howle Charitable Foundation, which has made more
than 400 grants to support education, healthcare, the
homeless and the arts. These grants were made principally to
organizations based in the Southeast.
Tycho has a Bachelor of Science in Physics (minor-Computer
Science) and an Master of Science in Systems Engineering
from Clemson University. He also holds an MBA from the
Harvard Business School.
Paul Lockart
Paul
Lockart serves as Chief Operating Officer at nuBridges and
is responsible for the operations for network services and
the company’s industry leading customer support services.
An industry veteran in electronic commerce, Paul held prior
positions at Harbinger Corporation as well as Descartes
Systems Group. At Harbinger, Paul held various positions
that focused on delivery of network-based products and
services to enable electronic commerce initiatives for
companies. During this time, Harbinger experienced rapid
growth in their network services business from 1,000
customers to over 20,000 customers. In addition, the
retention rate for the line of business was over 98%. Annual
revenues for the network services business lines reached
over $35 million.
While at Descartes Systems Group, Paul was responsible for
Global Network Operations for the four value-added network
service offerings Descartes offered worldwide. During his
tenure, Paul introduced cost efficiencies to increase
margins while developing a strategic plan for customer
retention. Resulting annual revenues for the various network
services business lines reached over $45 million.
Recognized by customers for exceptional service and support,
Paul earned several individual awards. Also, his teams
received recognition as outstanding in their network service
and support delivery. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in
Computer Science from Ottawa University.
Roy Hogsed
Roy
Hogsed is Executive Vice President of Sales. Prior to
nuBridges, Roy was President & CEO at iSoft Corporation, a
provider of managed file transfer software solutions. A
30-year veteran in the information technology industry, Roy
has a wide-range of experience with companies of all sizes
and has held executive-level positions in development,
systems engineering, marketing and sales --including eleven
years as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, for the
Communications Software Group of Sterling Commerce. Roy
holds a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State.
Jim Morgan
Jim
Morgan serves as CFO for nuBridges overseeing all
aspects of Finance and Administration. Prior to nuBridges,
he was the Senior Director of Finance and Administration at
CMI Marketing, a loyalty marketing company that develops and
administers cross category loyalty programs, the first being
ClubMom Rewards. At CMI, Jim helped develop the financial
systems and infrastructure to track and process member
transactions with partner companies. Before CMI, Jim worked
at Goldman, Sachs and Co. in the Fixed Income Division. As a
part of the corporate institutional sales group, his clients
included several large mutual funds and insurance companies.
Before joining Goldman Sachs, he worked for The Walt Disney
Co. in the Corporate Operations Planning department. In that
position, Jim worked with the company's various business
units on financial matters including the preparation of
monthly forecasts, annual operating plans, and capital
spending proposals. Jim holds an MBA in Finance from The
Anderson School at UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in
Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
David Walling
David
Walling is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at nuBridges. As
CTO, Walling is responsible for all aspects of system
design, development, quality assurance and delivery. An
innovator in the eBusiness technology community, Walling
pioneered the invention, design and construction of iSoft's
flagship file transfer product, Commerce Suite and the iSoft
Security Services Library.
Prior to iSoft, Walling spent eleven years at Electronic
Data Systems Corporation (EDS) developing online software
systems and applications on a variety of platforms serving
various markets including financial services and
transportation, specializing in application-layer protocols
and inter-process communications.
With more than 20 years of experience in software systems,
Walling's background includes system analysis, development,
testing, deployment, team and division-level leadership.
Walling holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer
Information Science, a Master of Arts Degree in the History
of Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.
Kim Addington
Kim
Addington is Chief Marketing Officer of nuBridges. She is
responsible for all nuBridges product management and
marketing functions, including strategy and positioning,
public relations, analyst relations, demand generation and
corporate communications. With more than 20 years of
executive-level experience building and leading marketing
and business operations teams for international B2B software
companies, her knowledge of the enterprise software market
extends across business application integration, IT
infrastructure software, legacy modernization and
application development tools.
Before joining nuBridges, Addington served for 11 years as
Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at
integration middleware vendor Seagull Software. Prior to
Seagull, she spent 10 years at development tool vendor
KnowledgeWare as Senior Vice President of Marketing, and
five years as a Marketing Manager at ADP Network Services.
Addington is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Gettysburg
College with a BA in English, and completed additional
coursework in the MBA program at the University of Michigan
with a major in Marketing.
Todd Callen
Todd
Callen is the Vice President of Sales for nuBridges, where
he had previously served as the group's Senior Director.
Prior to managing the Sales group, Todd was the leading
Salesperson for nuBridges (and its TrailBlazer Systems,
acquired by nuBridges) for 6 consecutive years. During
Todd's tenure he contributed to yearly revenue growth of
over 100% and helped grow the customer base from several
hundred to over 3,000.
Todd's management experience extends cross functionally, and
prior to his work at nuBridges, Todd performed a blend of
marketing and strategy work for companies such as Andersen
Consulting (Accenture) and SBC/Ameritech. He also managed a
team of 50 people at McMaster-Carr Supply Company.
Todd's educational training includes a BA from University of
Michigan as a Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from Kellogg School
of Management, Northwestern University, graduating with High
Distinction.
Gary Palgon
In
his role as Vice President of Product Management at
nuBridges, Gary oversees product direction and development,
as well as complementary implementation and eBusiness
services. A seasoned enterprise software professional with
broad experience in customer support, product marketing and
product development, Gary brings more than 15 years of
management experience to his role at nuBridges. Prior to
joining nuBridges, Gary served as Director of Product
Management for ZapMedia, a technology company bringing
customized entertainment to consumers, and Director of
Product Marketing for Idapta, a builder of e-marketplaces.
He spent over 10 years at Geac Computer Systems, Inc.
(formerly Dun and Bradstreet Software and MSA) where he
managed the development and marketing of leading edge
technologies used by large and medium enterprises including
customer, employee and supplier self-service applications
for Fortune 1000 customers. He holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the
University of Florida.
