Software for IBM i
EDIINT (“EDI over the Internet”) software
enables the secure transport of EDI and XML data over the
Internet. It’s an Internet-era alternative to
EDI VANs
(3rd party Value-Added Networks that provide completely
outsourced EDI document processing services). Both
alternatives are still actively used by thousands of

The EDIINT module of
nuBridges Exchange i (a suite
of file transfer, connectivity and Internet EDI software
that runs natively on the IBM i platform) is software that
you can install on your own server to establish an EDI hub
to handle mail boxing, delivery, trading partner management,
security, authentication and non-repudiation to prove the
integrity and origin of the data you are exchanging.
The EDIINT module of nuBridges Exchange i can also be used
by an individual “spoke” that needs to connect to any EDI
hub – for example, a small supplier that needs to connect
its IBM i to Wal-Mart’s EDI hub.

nuBridges Exchange i EDIINT can support large trading
partner ecosystems with thousands of members, all the way
down to single connections.
With nuBridges Exchange i EDIINT there is no
programming required – CL-scripts allow you to automate the
import and export of EDI data through your EDI translator
with simple CL commands. A library of preconfigured scripts
to nuBridges allows you to monitor for errors using MONMSG
on every command line. That means that if an error occurs
during a transmission to a critical partner, we can abort
the script and notify you with email alerts and broadcast
messages in-session (without this feature you are forced to
look through job logs and outfiles manually to assure every
session was successful).
Unlike other AS1/AS2/AS3 solutions,
nuBridges lets you run secure transactions within your
existing network infrastructure without leaving private keys
and unencrypted data in your DMZ.
Prefer to stop incoming transactions at the
DMZ? The nuBridges solution is bundled with an AS2 server
for your DMZ that stores nothing but encrypted AS2
transactions. Those transactions can be retrieved or
redirected to the AS1/AS2/AS3 software in your LAN. Key management is all done safely behind
your firewall. This is a critical security issue. With other
solutions you will typically be storing your encryption keys
and certificates outside of your firewall, exposed to the
outside world. With nuBridges, all EDIINT encryption keys
are on your IBM i server, safely behind your firewall. Features of nuBridges Exchange i EDIINT
